Nexburg LMISF-S8/N9HR – a robust and standard compliant lawful interception platform for roaming deployments based on S8HR (VoLTE in 4G) and N9HR (VoNR in 5G) architectures.
S8HR in 4G architecture limits Lawful Interception as defined in 3GPP in the visited network, as the entire user traffic is routed to the Home network (no local breakout). Calls of inbound roamers cannot be monitored. N9HR is the 5G equivalent of 4G’s S8HR in 5GSA networks which would have the same limitation.
Nexburg LMISF-S8/N9HR solves that problem and supports both network element-based interception (LMISF) and passive interception through network probes for VoLTE/VoNR Homerouting. In active deployments, Nexburg’s LMISF is directly connected to the related network elements while in passive interception deployments, probes are connected to strategic points within the EPC or 5GC transport network via taps or switch SPAN ports.
